Has anyone asked you if you could “make time” for them?
Squeeze them into your schedule? Wouldn’t that be cool if we really could “make time?”

So far I haven’t discovered a time machine, but, there are some things you can do to leverage your time. Leveraging time is even more important than leveraging money, because you can always make more money, but, try as you might, you just can’t make more time!

We all get 24 hours, there’s no playing favorites here. If you’re like most, shave off a minimum of 6 hours just to sleep. If you work a full-time job and have a family, well, it gets pretty slim pretty fast.

Let’s say you’ve decided to start your own business. Your goal is to make more money so you can work less and get that precious time back.

If you decide on a traditional brick & mortar type business, you’ve got to keep your shop open & staffed, take care of customers & inventory, payroll, maintenance, and don’t forget all the joys that come with employees! In this case, leveraging time is achieved through adding more people to your operation, so you can take off and your
business keeps running. However talk to anyone who’s done this and they will tell you, they don’t own the business, it owns them.

Now, let’s say you’ve decided to start a home business. You decide on a great product or service, and set out to tell the world about it. But, with you’re already strapped for time, just how are you going to do this? You don’t want the hassles and time-stealers of most businesses, which is why you decide on a home business
in the first place. And, you’ve already got the job, the family, the dog to walk…

There are two important things you must do. The first is leveraging the skills of others who know how to do things you don’t. The second is putting a system in place to leverage your own personal time. A system that can do a “show & tell” about your product or service, without any involvement from you, other than you pointing the way.

Stay tuned for the next installment….!
